THE MYMEDIA WEBSITE HAS BEEN LAUNCHED

Republication Print version

The site is currently working in test mode, but all sections and full functionality will be launched in the nearest weeks.

MYMEDIA is a project aimed on development of independent media and improving professional skills of journalists in Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey.

The project has 3 directions: supporting a pluralistic media environment, strenghtening independent media and media institutions, and increasing the quality and reach of local media.

In order to achieve these purposes, MYMEDIA holds workshops, long-term educational programs and those for media development, collaborates with local universities, organizes exchange programs and journalistic contests, gives grants for investigative reporting.

The MYMEDIA website will provide information on current events, opportunities for journalists, and projects held as a part of the program. Check them out in the “News”, “Competitions” and “Event calendar” sections.

Also we're going to post works of participants and winners of the contests held by us and our partners from Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as articles promoting and explaining the topics, ideas and values fundamental for the mission of the MYMEDIA project. They can be found in the “Articles” and “Works” sections.

The “Community” section contains information on the journalists who have participated in MYMEDIA's projects.

The MYMEDIA project is designed for 4 years of operation, it's being carried out by the NIRAS consortium, a leading Danish consulting company, and BBC Media Action together with partners from 7 countries — Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Turkey. The funding comes from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark (DANIDA).

MYMEDIA website is created and supported by NGO "Telekritika".
