The purpose of the video is to simply and explain what is public service broadcasting like and how it differs from public and commercial media.
In September 2013 Telekritika ordered sociological survey which revealed that 76% of the population of Ukraine know absolutely nothing about the idea of creation of public service broadcasting. The revolutionary events in the country and launch of alternative public broadcasters probably little changed this situation. However we believe that many people still do not have a clear understanding of what is public service broadcasting. Therefore appeared an idea to create this movie for helping people with understanding what benefits they will get from emergence of unbiased public service broadcasters’, - explained Vitaliy Yarynych, executive director of non-governmental organization Telekrtika.

Video is created together with the project hromadske.tv. On April 28, it is broadcasting on this online channel. Movie shot in the project MYMEDIA, one of the strategic objectives which promoting the idea of public service broadcasting in the Eastern Partnership countries and Turkey.
We would like to remind you that under the same project Telekritika held a contest of journalistic materials on public service broadcasting, the prize fund was 26 thousands UAH.
