Republication Print version

The students of the Master’s program of Journalism and Media Communications of Ukrainian Catholic University began their studies September, 1. Among students there were 17 holders of MYMEDIA fellowship from south-eastern and central regions of Ukraine.

The scholarship covers full cost of the first studying term and living expenses in Lviv. If students successfully pass the exams, they will get scholarships for next term.

This time first-year Master students from Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Nikolaev, Mariupol, Odessa, Kherson, Kharkiv, Crimea and Donetsk received scholarships. Six fellows out of eight second-year Master students have confirmed their high results and will receive scholarships during the following term.

This academic year at the request of the School of Journalism of Ukrainian Catholic University MYMEDIA allocated one additional scholarship for the first year Master student.

“This student came from the occupied territories of Donbas. She has demonstrated good results, but there were students with higher ratings than hers, while the number of scholarships is limited. We asked MYMEDIA to give a chance to the girl and allocate one more scholarship. Without this support she would not be able to study in Lviv. We are grateful for donor’s support” – explained Igor Balinsky, Head of the MA program in Journalism.
