UP TO 200 INTERNET GAZETTES IN COMPETITION ENDING PROJECT “OUR VOICE” IN UKRAINE

 Nowe Media is pleased to announce the opening of online votiong for the best gazette, prepared by 95 school teams of teachers and students all around Ukraine. You could give your voice to one of the 190 gazettes. 

Internet voting in the competition that ends the project “Our voice” in Ukraine has just begun. Voting system has been opened on Friday, May 8th at 9.00 a.m. and will be closed exactly at 9.00 next Friday, May 15th. Voters will elect 15 best editorial teams and then professional jury will chose out of this number 3 best editorial teams that will be given precious awards.

Everyone can vote! Just go to the website and chose your favourite publication out of almost 200 electronic gazettes that were created by young teams during last few months of intense work.

The project have started in Autumn 2014 in schools and various education places all over Ukraine in the following cities: Czernikhov, Kherson, Kremenchuk, Lutsk, Lviv, Poltava, Severodoneck, Sumy Ternopil and Vinnitsa. More than eleven hundred young people have created 96 editorial teams and have published 190 electronic gazettes that are out for competition at the moment.

The project “Our voice” is a continuation of the earlier project Sprawa, media literacy scheme run by the Polish New Media Foundation as part of the My-Media family of projects. It have engaged in its first edition in the years 2013/14 about 500 high school students from Ukraine. Final competition was won last year by the editorial team from high school nr 11 from Lugansk.

We expect to hand over awards and celebrate best teams during the upcoming Media Forum in Lviv that is to take place at the end of May.
